One thing that I wish that I was told as an adolescent, is anyone can be influenced to cause destruction. Look around, you don’t have to be hard to sell drugs, rob or take a life. On the flip side it takes and exceptional individual to lead, empower and uplift those who are around them. Two key ingredients in being a motivating factor in someone’s life are developing an emotional connection and leading by example.
It’s important to always act with integrity, to be compassionate, friendly, loyal and make sure that you do the right thing. You must treat those who you come in contact with during your daily interaction well. Take a minute to think about how you’d like to be treated and throughout the course of your day, do your best to replicate that treatment.
During the pursuit of our dreams we all will fall short at one time or another in our lives. We shouldn’t use anothers shortfall as an opportunity to tear them down even further. Instead we should position ourselves to encourage those who are down on their knees to get up. Motivate them to continue to strive towards the things they wish to attain. Highlighting the next persons flaws should never be our objective. They only thing that matters is we recognize our personal shortcomings and make the necessary adjustments.
To become a great leader, it’s important to be a good listener as well as a good communicator. Open, honest communication and the display of kindness are the core building blocks of any relationship. Remember that at the end of the day, how you make people feel is the thing that matters the most. In order for someone to feel good about a relationship they must know that the other person truly cares about their well being.
In life, most likely success wont come immediately. Don’t let your determination to work your plan waver. Just know that you are in total control of your future and your life. You have to make a plan, and work it through to completion. When you’re living life based on the principals of integrity and righteousness disappointment will never occur.
Some people believe that they don’t have the ability to be something greater than their present self. Don’t believe the notion that you can only e one thing in life. Don’t allow yourself to be identified by negative labels and stereotypes. Being kind doesn’t make you soft. Uplifting those around you instead of tearing them down doesn’t make you corny. Taking the steps to evolve into someone better than your former self isn’t lame. Doing all of these things can open your eyes to a bigger purpose in life than the one you thought you had.
Go take a good look in the mirror today, ask the person that you see, are they willing to find their lives purpose? Do they desire change? If so just remember it all starts with showing kindness, uplifting your peers and evolving as a person one day at a time. As long as each day you put forth an effort to reflect positivity, positive things will become a permanent fixture in your life as well.
