Hello and welcome to Designed Conviction The Magazine. I am honored to present to you our nine edition. Our hope is that as we are moving out of these devastating times and things are opening back up, we can bring new inspiration, hope, and breathe life into the lost and forgotten. While at the same time unlocking the talent of so many who deserve to be recognized and seen not for their mistakes, but for what they have done in spite of them.

We are working with formerly incarcerated and currently incarcerated individuals who have discovered their passion, transcended their past and are prime examples of what is possible when one sets their mind to accomplishing something and puts their heart into it.

I am excited to announce our upcoming first annual event, which is right around the corner. The art contest participants will be featured in the exhibit, and is just the start of what is to come. Our intention of the contest is to get exposure for the participants and share the stories. The Designed Conviction team has put in a lot of work, and we have invested a lot of funds into building and growing the platforms. It has been a journey that I am proud to be a part of, giving our all to make this happen.

I want to thank all of the folks who have expressed their support and believe in what we are doing here. Building something from scratch takes time, a lot of work, and a considerable amount of money going in. To focus our resources to be the most effective, we have made a few changes you may notice.

I’ll leave you with a final thought here and that is this. Never say when or give in to doubt, letting a failure have you concede. Great things are made through overcoming adversity, so the distance between dreams and reality really is taking action.
